AWD or FWD witch is beter for driftin/powersliding?

What one would be beter for "drifting/powersliding"
1. 95-99 eclipse gsx(AWD)
2. 2000+ eclipse gt (FWD)
3. 94-99 3000gt VR4(AWD)
4. 94-99 3000gt (FWD)

all with manual transmissons.
in your driving/drifting expericance what one would u chose?

Re: AWD or FWD

well i'm not really looking for a RWD car unless it is a supra, 99 or newer mustang, or skyline, and i just can't afford the supra or the skyline. and i don't really like ford that much so yea. plus i really don't like the way the 240sx looks. but if we could, witch do u think would be beter the eclipse or the 3000gt... AWD...FWD?? witch would work beter? o and i'm not really looking to become a pro "drifter or any thing like that just something to take to the track on the weekends and still drive during the week. thanks

Re: AWD or FWD

so by that meaning go with the gsx and replace the rear differntal in it?
is the 3000gt just to heavy or the weight not balenced right?
i had read someones page at cardomain.com that they are all wheel steering? is that true

yes, the vr4 3kgt's weigh like 3700-3800 lbs, and yes.

Re: AWD or FWD

so with meaning that they are all wheel steering i take it that isn't good for drifting since u want to rear of the car to loose traction.

Re: AWD or FWD

skyline GTR's are AWD, all other skylines are RWD.

If you try to drift any of those cars you'll just look like an idiot, it would be like offroading in a civic.

Re: AWD or FWD

ok thanks. well i've been doing some cheecking out on some 240sx's. they aren't that bad looking i guess with some body mods and stuff. plus from what i've heard thats a pretty good car for doing that kind of stuff. but since i'm 16 haveing a rwd car, what would that do to my insurence? would it make it go up more, or would it be just about that same as an eclipse?

lol all of those cars are probably your worst possible choice for drifting, GSX's are for straight lines, Anything FWD isnt for drifting, and with a 3000gt you would look like a sailor trying to drift a boat into dock.

Re: AWD or FWD

ive seen a clip of a super-tuned EF civic drifting. It looked like something out of option. He was tryin to tandem with some s15. Lots of crazy ebrake action. It was amazing, i swear he could accelerate while holding the ebrake, but it still looked like ass-dragging.

but yea dude, this isnt need for speed underground, drifting a fwd is not practical.

out of all of those cars just to have in general i would go for the gsx.

Re: AWD or FWD

a 240SX or Mustang GT wouldn't be any more to insure than an eclipse GSX.
