Line Out Converter.....

Ok im used to just having aftermarket HU's and using rca's..but now i have a 2004 chevy cavalier, and i need to keep the radio stock..i have a amp and subs, but i need to know what kind of L.O.C to use (high to low, etc.), maybe a site that has it so i can see what it is, and i also need to know how to use it..i know its something with the back speakers but im not sure..any help greatyle appreciated...

I chose to use the audio control EQL ... it's a 12 band stereo EQ, and has the line out converter built in.

First off, why do you have to keep the stock radio? Next, the kind I use is made by Installer's Edge. I can't find the web site though, sorry. But when I put them in a car alot of times I run speaker wire from the rear left and right speakers to it, most of times there are a couple of ground wires in the converter which don't have to be hooked up, but it should help with noise. There should also be some sort of level adjustment on the unit too. With using these, the bass on your radio is what is going to adjust the bass of the subs since you don't have sub rca outs/controlls on the deck so I would also recommend bass blockers also known as speaker savers for your speakers (atleast the fronts). They are sold in pairs at different freq. levels. I think the front of your car has 4x6" speakers so I would get blockers at 300hz or so. The rears should be 6x9's so you dont really need them for those. But this will let you crank up the bass for your subs and not blow out/distort your speakers. They basically are capactiors running with AC (amp output power is AC) which makes allows them to block out freq below certain levels....They run in line with the speaker and the deck on the positive wire.
