no turbo kit for ka24de 89-94???

Well I have been searching the internet and all I see is turbo kits for the 95-98 model of 240sx but never any for 89-94. This puzzles me because they are the same chassis and almost identical engines except for the electronics and the intake manifold I believe but I may be wrong...So why haven't any companies made a kit because I have a 92 240sx fast back and don't want to get the SR20det so if some one can clarify or give me a link it would end the confusion.

go to phatka-t, i think they have a kit for the s13. Maybe you could piece togethor a kit and will also get better price for what you buy...Kits that are cheap or are actually worth buying are getting hard to find.

Ok thanks for the feed back, you would think companies would be jumping all over the idea of turboing a KA24de for the S13 but I guess maybe because everyone wants to buy the SR20det who has a S13 so they don't think they will make a profit.

I would go for the boostdesigns if you aren't too serious. Best bang for the buck IMO. Or if you feel like reading, check out some of the other forums and learn how to piece a kit together. I wouldn't trade my kit for anything(to drive).

make sure you're not including 89-90 as a ka24de.. don't want a KA24E manifold now do you?

Well they would, but its still somewhat of a secret that the KA is boostable. Did you read the "ultimate KA&SR guide" in SS? According to JWT, "Once the turbo goes on, you must change out the pistons," I find it hard to believe that JWT would say this, but I think they said that to cover thier asses. SRs are still more popular than the KA and they sell. So yea, sell stuff that sells. I think the KA market is about to take off though. Crower is coming out with 5 different cam grinds, AEM is about to release an EMS system for the S14, and Ivan at phatka-t is going to be competing this year in his KA powered S14 drag car. So yea, the market should pick up soon.
