Japanese Muscle! Skyline 2000 GT-R Finished

Well this is my second model of the year... i cant believe it! Even better i started this two months ago and i made the AFMOTY dead line but rain has kept me from taking final pics. i have no shot of winning but glad i finished on time none-the-less. anyhow this is the progress from 2 weeks ago because i want to keep the end result a secret for the contest. Ill sneak you all a peek new years eve though! this is the Aoshima 3rd Skyline with Fujimi LM GT-2 wheels and brakes.

The chassis is basic but more detailed then i had planned cus ive made more prog then expected. basic paint and blackwash is all. and remember this is for AFMOTY so im more concerned with the body and such.

The interior is the least completed... this was two weeks ago but ive flocked the rear deck and floor.

And this is the basic look and stance. my idea was American Muscle but with a Japanese car. there have been alot of AM being posted lately so i wanted to spin off that AND make a older Skyline since they are so popular but nobody respects history. the grill has been left off because its a scratch build and i want to wait till the contest to unveil it but basically its all mesh... no headlights etc... just PE badging... Enjoy

Happy Holidays

Wow... don't kill me for saying this, but that'd make a good base for a lot of Volvo builds.

What you've done to it is great! Love the stance and the color.

I agree, cut off the Front and it would look almost like this

Nice progress so far! I like it!

thanks.... its funny cus i was thinking it could easily be made into a Peugeot if i sanded down the sides but maybe a Volvo if i added some tale fins (the older Volvos are beautiful). ive got a few of these skylines all slightly different but might mod one into a different make. do you have pics of the Volvo you were thinking of? 240 DL like above or something older?

The one like above is probably the closest I can find.
