This car has 150,000 miles and just started to run rough. It acts as if 3 or 4 cylinders are being shut down on acceleration and surges and runs rough at constant speeds. Idle seem a little rougher than normal but still idles good. Exhaust sounds a little throatier than before. It started this problem only when cold but now does it all the time. No codes are coming back from the computer and the AutoXRay analyzer is coming back with everything normal. Compression is good, all coils are firing and fuel pressure is perfect. New plugs and wires did not help. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

For those that read my post, I have found the problem. When the car started to run rough I replaced the plugs and wires knowing they were very old. The car ran better for a short time and then started to run rough again. Last night I found spark plug number one had turned completely black and plug number 2 did not look good. I decide to pull the injector wires from those two cylinders while it was running to see if they were even firing. While doing so I noticed a spark from under the boot of plug wire number 1 at the coil to a coil mounting screw. It seems that plug wire number 1 has completely failed and number 2 is failing. Quickly made wires from some Mallory 8mm wire (no boots) I had laying around fixed the rough running engine. These wires are going back and I'm ordering a set of Mangnecor wires. Thanks.
