WCM module defective in 2004 Durnagos built before May 17, 2004
Has anyone else run into this issue with the WCM Module?
I recently had a remote started installed in my 2004 Durango and was told by the installers that the WCM Module is defective and does not permit ANY additional RFID codes to be added to the vehicle. INCLUDING new ignition sentry keys! When my dealership did some tests on the module the did indeed find issues with it and are ordering a replacement part to rectify this problem. They did however tell me that this was not a recall by Chrysler and that it was my module specifically that had the problem(the article link below states otherwise.) I was just curious to know if anyone else has had this issue with their Durango? My Durango was built in February. (BTW. This issue is still outstanding and my dealership is looking to resolve it by tomorrow.) further information available from this url: http://www.bypasskit.com/kb/article.aspx?id=10018 I just thought that I would pass along the information because it has cause great headaches during my Christmas madness and it was just one of those things that I didn't need at this point in time. Happy Holidays! I'll fill you all in tomorrow. |

all is good
So all is good now with my WCM Module. The dealership installed a replacement and now everything is working fine. They were able to fully integrate my remote starter and everything was covered through warranty.

So what you're saying is that it caused great headaches because you actually had to run outside in the cold to start your Durango instead of clicking the button from the comfort of your home? LOL!
Happy holidays man.
