Bulge in side of tires

From the many months of peeling put, burnouts, and 180s, my front tires now have bulges on the side of them. It's not BAD bad, but they seen better days. Myt question is, is it recommended to still drive on them? Obviously, im going to need new tires, but they're not just going to blow out, are they? The tread is still in great shape (somehow), but they bulge. Im going to do a tire rotation, b.c. tje back ones are fine. Im not doing anymore stupid stuff, so should they last?

Re: Bulge in side of tires

Are the bulges just on the bottom? If you're sure it's not underinflation, then I wouldn't drive much on tires that have ripped cords.

general rule bulge = bad...

if u plan on driveing at high speeds get them repaced asap... its a weakness and if u push them they will bow and it will be catostrophic especialy on the front wheels...

Re: Bulge in side of tires

I guess the bulges were on the bottom, but when you drive, the wheels turn. I know what you mean, and no, its in the same spot all the time. Not the low pressure bulge, but a bad bulge. I guess I should stop doing 100+ coming home form work now. Would rotating them work? Throw em on the back.

Yea, this guy sold me a couple tires with bulges in them, and a week later one blew... then a week after that the other one did... So I'm guessing that it's time for some new "feet" for your car.

Re: Bulge in side of tires

I would get them replaced just to be sure. You dont want a tire to blow out on you on the freeway. Well if you have awd thats another story. You probably wont feel it.

Re: Bulge in side of tires

tire bulge is bad. i would get them replaced asap. i had tires bulge on me and i found out it's from potholes and stuff like that because low profile tires don't have much of a sidewall so it takes all the pounding and that's why they bulge. with a bulge they can blow out at any time.
