Vortech V6 in a '72 MG BGT? Please HELP!!!!

I have just recently blown the head gasket on my original 4 banger and I was wondering what kind of trouble I am going to run into while I am swaping the 4 out for a Vortech V6 with a T5 trans. Please give me all the advise that you can. I have never been in a project of this stature and I need all the help I can get!!!

After seeing what is involved and the total cost of good conversion you may find it's best to repair the blown head gasket. It takes most people doing engine conversions a year + to get their car going again. I've seen some cobbled up conversions with a hole cut in the bonnet to provide room for the carb and air cleaner. If you have a good shop and can do quality welding and have lots of fabrication experience you can do it. However, if you have to farm out the work at $50-$75/hour the costs can get out of hand. After you are finished you will have a modified MGB whick will be hard to sell at a fair price. At the present there isn't a big demand for modified MG's. If you had a 32 Ford Coupe my advice would be go ahead but use a Chevy small block engine. My 2 cents, Clifton Gordon
