My GT has 92K on its original clutch (not abused however) and it is starting to make a noise when it is cold and the clutch peddle is depressed. Does anyone know what is going on - throwout berrings? Is this something to worry about? I just don't want to be stranded on some back road with no clutch. I have also had to recently replace the front tie rods (squeeking) and the rear anti sway bar just broke. Is this what happens to Mustangs as they approach old age? What will go next??

Re: 95 mustang GT with noisy clutch
All normal SN95 problems. The idler pulley on the belt will probably go soon, too.
The squeal is your throwout bearing. Plan on a clutch job sometime soon. The rear swaybars in '94-95 had a bad run of metal and were hollow to save weight. The factory control arm design doesn't help either, it allows the rear end to walk side-side some. Either switch to aftermarket lower control arms and/or get a '96-newer swaybar. Front tie rods get noisy and need replaced. The new ones should have grease fittings and if maintained won't be a problem.
