Dash cracking on '95 S10 pickup

My dash has started to do the characteristic Chevy dash crack, my dad's '85 did this really bad. The dash has started to crack in random spots and I was wondering if you guys know any ways to combat or fix this. Thanks in advance everyone.

I would imagine that you can buy a dash pad cover... I don't know whom makes them for Chevy but they made them for the imports I used to drive.

Re: Dash cracking on '95 S10 pickup

one weird thing is that my 85 blazer has the origional dash without any cracks in it. The really weird thing is I got it from my former boss that never cleaned, or washed anything in his life.

I wonder if the soaps or water we use to wash dashes causes those cracks, or if the thick dust on it preserved my dash

Armor all causes it. Use meguires tech shine, and you will never have that problem. Ethenal and alcohol dry up your dash. the main ingredients in armor all! Notice Meguires doesnt use anything harmful. GEt a new dash dude. Ebay or junk yard. Or get one of those carpet covers. from ebay or www.stylinconcepts.com they have everything aftermarket for trucks.

Formula 2001 is the best by Turtle wax.

Stuff is good for everything and is good on leather, vinyl, rubber, plastic, you name it.

Dude i usta use that stuff. but then I tried. Meguires Tech Wax. I Kid you not. AFter i wax my truck. I am asked for weeks is that a new paint job? and i have an origional red paint job from the factory in 97. WE all know how fast red fades. BlazerLT go get your hands on some of that wax n tell me whats your favorite then. I promise its the best wax out there. Easiest to use and holds its protection months afterwards.

And as for mothers I have not tried there products. so i couldnt tell ya. look on the bottle n make sure theres no alcohol in it.

Formula 2001 is not a wax, it is MADE by Turtle wax.

It is for tire, leater and uphostery use.

Basecoat clearcoat paint won't fade and chaulk like the old enamel paints and in 1997 you have the basecoat clearcoat.
