Guys, please help me pick a color for my rims!

O.K. so I got the tires but I found out I have 3 bent rims. The cost of new rims is between 900 to 1200 bucks for a set like the ones I have or similar. the cost to repair my rims is 450 bucks, so yeah I'm just gonna get them repaired. The guy at the shop told me if I'd like to change the color so I was thinking either gunmetal or white.......or leave them as is in silver. well I cant decide and I suck at photoshop but I played around a little and here is what I came up with.

as is now:

with white rims:

with gunmetal rims:

so which do you guys like?

I prefer the silver or white. I've never liked rims that looked like black. It seems like one big tire to me.

Don't let people decide for you. Pick the ones you will be happiest with since it is your car.

well I know which ones I want, but a good friend can always put things in a different light and so I always listen to what my friends have to say before I jump into something like this. and since I consider all of you guys dear friends I really appreciate all of your suggestions.

Re: Guys, please help me pick a color for my rims!

Last one i def say no. The first ones that you have now look pretty damn nice. And i wasnt crazy about the white ones at first but after lookin at them more they dont look to bad...Personally id prolly go with what you have now they fit the style nice. Also one thing about black cars i was never crazy about black with black rims. But then i saw Melis's car on here and that thing is so damn nice lookin. So hopefully when i get a vr-4 ill do the black look if not maybe the pearl white. But yea man your color now looks good.

I think Shiny goes well with white paint, get them pollished up!

How did your rims get bent? Is that something that happens occasionally? But yeah, that sucks.... Anyways, about the color of your rims, I like the way they look now so I wouldn't change it to any other color. They look SAH-WEET!!!

Gunmetal with a polished lip would look best, or the Shinies.

Agreed! Gunmetal + polished lip looks hot or even black + polished lip. That's what i plan to do with mine. Just don't go all black imo bc your rims will totally blend in with your tires.

not that my opinion matters but i like the darker, gun-metal the best. gives it a more aggressive looks, in my eyes.

Ah, we've seem to have addopted you into the family mostwanted. so yeah your opinion matters.

and to answer Slades question about how did I bent my rims: Well you see, rims do bend but its hard to do it, you'd have to hit a pot hole at 70mph or smack into a curb at 50. in my case the previous owner was a rice fan who cut the stock spring to drop the car. this is fine in a toy car but on a highly engineered car like our 3000GT's this destroys the suspensions ability to damper. since the shock can not absorb the full impact, some force transfers into the rim. this means an impact against a dip on the highway at 40mph feels like rolling over a foxhole at 80mph. the suspension is fixxed now but the scars remain.
I now leave it up to my chief physicist Thourun to explain the mathematical equation that leads to this disaster.
Take it away professor Thourun.

Hmm....is cutting your springs the same thing as buying springs to lower your car? So Musashi, did you get some new springs then?

I would either keep them silver or do the gunmetal/polished lip. Honestly, in that particular picture, the white rims seem to make the car look less white...you don't want to comprimise. Post pics when you get them done either way!

Same effect...different routes...except cutting them is ghetto and bad. You will never cut them equally and it puts unnecessary stress on the rims as Musashi explained, because they weren't engineered to be shorter...but people do it because they are cheap.

Musashi, I'd stick with silver, gunmetal could work, but that white is too much IMO.
