Question Warner Brothers Entertainment System (VCP)

Q: Does anyone know why in my 2001 WBE Venture when I put a tape in the video casset player (VCP) I am not able to get any picture or sound?

It was working fine for the 6 months Ive had this van Then on monday when I put a tape in so my son can watch blues clues I was not able to get any picture or sound. I am able to rewind , foward and even stop, but when I press play I get this problem . I doubt its the screan because I still can use the menu option wich pop up on the screan , and you can see when I foward , rewind, ect, but no picture . In matter of fact my brother has the 2000 WBE and he recentley was having the same problem.

If anyone can help out with this issue would be truly appreciated .
If you do not feel like responding heer please feel free to email me directley at [email protected]

Thanks again to all...Happy Holidays!

I have not seen one of these systems in the vans, however, I wonder if they are similar to the home VCR/VCP's . I had a problem similar to yours with my home VCR and it was solved by running a head cleaner tape in the unit. I put a solution on the tape and ran it through a couple of times, and the picture and sound were restored. The units installed in these vans are subject to the same types of contaminants found in households, plus possibly different ones, which can find their way into the unit, or tape. You might try to clean the heads first to see if that solves your problem. If it doesn't, I would suspect a loose connection somewhere in the system as my next point to look into.

Re: Warner Brothers Entertainment System (VCP)

Thanks for you quick response : I will try that once I am home , I just found it strange that it was working fine for all these months and even the night before it went all out of wack , And the all of a sudden it snowed out here in nyc and it did not work. but thanks again for your suggestion, what do I got to lose I will try it out and will let you know what happens .

If you or any one else can think of anything else would be more information than I have ..

Thanks again
