How do I make my headlight lenses clear again?

They look cloudy and kinda yellow. Is there a way to clean them or something?

Get some "never dull" polish and use that on the headlight lens. Be sure to not let it dry though, just wipe it on there and rub it in good then buff it off quickly and make sure you get it all off.

Autozone or wal-mart etc. It is a metal polish.

The yellow "haze" that is appearing is oxidation of the plastic coating on the headlight cover. There is no real way to remove this unless you sand it. If you go on altavista.com and search about it, you'll find some procedures to fix the problem.

Re: How do I make my headlight lenses clear again?

Is "Never Dull" the name of the stuff? I couldn't find any when I went to Walmart just now. And does it have to be that particular brand or will any metal polish work? Also, there's some condesation on the inside of the lenses. Is there a way to remove that as well?

my headlights were yellowish so i just used ordinary car wax. Try it, doesnt matter what kind of car wax, just rub it on, let it sit for like 3 minutes then wipe it off. Try any ordinary car wax because im sure you have some in the garage, will save u some money on going out and buying the metal polish, It will look better then what it did. For the condensation, your gonna have to take apart the headlights and clean the inside. If you do this, make sure you reseal the lights good or else u will have condensation again.

when you take apart the head lights, do it on a day that isn't humid, they will fog if you don't

on a day that isn't humid... Its a good thing its winter here. I live on the coast in Texas...

To take the headlights out, I'm gonna have to take off the whole front bumper, aren't I?

No Integra has plastic headlights, all Integra's have Glass headlights and if you try sandpaper on them they will be garbage!
The "Never Dull" is an excellent way to remove this haze, I have used it myself and it works better than wax. I know from first hand experience. Never Dull is the name of it, it comes in a round can, silver in color. Try it you will like the results. But if you have a civic or any car with plastic headlights then it will destroy them, but it will not hurt the glass hedlights on the integras.

Re: How do I make my headlight lenses clear again?

mothers makes a chrome polish that works wonders on glass and plastic lenses. its a little red jar with a white top, cost maybe 5 bucks, but it'll clean those lenses to almost new looking.

Re: How do I make my headlight lenses clear again?

Try something natural. i use cotton balls and dip it in rubbing alcohol and clean it with that. then dip more cotton balls in water and take out the alcohol. works for me. see for yourself.

Re: How do I make my headlight lenses clear again?

I just used some Mothers metal polish, and it worked well. The inside still looks crappy though from the condensation. I guess I'll hafta take them apart. =\

^^^ did you get that polish from Wal-Mart?

Do you use that polish to clean the inside too? and what kind of sealant do you use to seal them back up after you clean the inside?
