My Paasche was $100 and i highly recomend it as well as others on this forum. It is very well made. it has never let me down. I think $145 is a bit much for a hobby compressor. you still have to buy a regulator, water trap as well so your looking at $200+. I dont think its worth it but i dont know who makes it either but looks generic. shop around!

as air is compressed, there is moisture produced, this can be hazardous to the paint mixture, a moisture trap, goes inline with the air hose and does exactly that, traps the air that could ruin the paint mixture

Do you live in the US? I would go to WalMart and get a 1hp 2gal Campbell Hausfeld compressor. They are about $70-80 US and get a moisture trap for about $15.

Pep Boys sells a similar Coleman compressor for $59 after $10 rebate.

Yup, i'd defenitely go with a compressor that has a tank. Its better to work in the silence with the airbrush. I have a 3 gallon 1.5 HP 125PSI Craftsman Air Compressor that costed me $150 USD with a 2 year warranty. I myself wouldn't go with "airbrush compressors".

Wouaf... I agree... Woua wouaf... for the dog thing... Wouaf... and for the Paasche being a good bet, because I've never heard of this puppy like compressor... Wouf.

I myself, am a quiet kind and go for the tank compressor too... well, it's quiet when it don't run at least.
