1991 S15 will crank, but will not start

OK, son's vehicle. Would not start at girlfriends, towed home. Has replaced fuel pump & filter, coil, ignition module. At this point it started and ran better than ever before (bought in June of 04). He drove it around the block and parked it. Will not start again.

!@#$

Help Pete

Checked fuel pressure?

Ever replaced the fuel filter, new plugs, cap and rotor?

All ignition parts are new, with fuel line disconnected on the motor side of the filter, fuel gushed out when the motor was cranked.

How is the timing?

Have you timed it with a timing gun with the timing wire disconnected from the PCM under the glove box.

The timing will go out over time and mile and has to be set to base zero every 3-5 years.

PCM? My other car is a '69 Camaro. I don't know what all this other stuff is. Which one is it? There's a ton of wires under the glovebox. Thanks.

Re: 1991 S15 will crank, but will not start

it is a brown and beige wire that runs under the carpet.

It has to be connected to properly time with a timing gun.

Connected? I thought you said it had to be disconnected. I found it, now what?

oops, typo, I meant disconnected.

With it unattached, time the vehicle with a timing gun and set it to zero.

How do I set the timing if the motor doesn't run?
