Question 98 tahoe fuel pump

I have a 98 tahoe. My fuel pump has been replaced several times. Its life seems to be getting shorter and shorter. Any ideas

Was the fuel filter replaced when you replaced the pump?
3 things will kill a fuel pump
1. clogged fuel filter
2. running low on gas...gas cools the pump
3. Bad grounds
