Shocking 04 Liberty

I just recently bought a 04 Liberty Sport for my wife (used 40k miles). It has a strange little habit of shocking me when ever I get out of it while it is running and in park. Any ideas what this is, or do I just have a shocking personality?

Must be your personality! Appears to be developing some excess static although I doubt it is from the vehicle itself. It can come from the seat fabric or from the shoes you wear moving on the carpet. If it becomes bothersome, buy a grounding strap for a vehicle and install it. This should eliminate the problem.
