passat remote control problems.

I have the same problem. Unfortunally, it works just by using the car keys manually. I followed the procedure written in the manual but it did not work. How can I synchronize the remote control?. I changed the remote control battery but nothing. I even used the spare car keys.
Any Ideas?

I was told by the local volswagen dealership that to program your remote, you need to put one key in the ignition and another in the driver's side door then press the button on the remote and that should program the remote. Hope this info. is helpful.
