Bearings?
i just wanted to know if any of you guys know what type of bearings i have in my prelude. are they press bearings or just the regular ones? i have to get them changed but i dont know which ones they are..i have a 94' Prelude S. Also, i just got some used pirelli p6000 tires the other day to replace some really bad quality tires i had in the rear until i get my new rims. and ever since then when i drive there is a constant unbearable sound coming from the rear of my car. i know the tires are directional tires, and on the right tire the tread is facing the opposite way. im pretty sure thats whats making the noise but i just wanted to get some opinions before i go back to the place and cuss up a storm
thanks for the help guys..Kasino |

Directional tire mounted the wrong way will definately pick up PLENTY road noise. The bearings on the lude is a pressed in type....SHould be pressed into the Hub Assy....
Also with the tires..If they have 4/32 of tread or less, they're prone to pick up road noise too....Esp if their old.. Harder the tire...more noisy... |
