Re: Blue smoke?

Blue smoke is oil burning. Sounds like your rings are worn out, needs new valve seals, possable bent valve/valves need adjusting, maby bent rod, a whole lot of things could be wrong.

ya its kinda of hard to tell what exactly is the problem but it sounds like the oil problem is pretty extensive if oil was on the plugs...did u check ur oil lvl? how much have u lost? if its not that much u can try going to a thicker oil which might solve the problem

Re: Re: Blue smoke?

mine used to blue smoke on my d15b7 with 200,000 miles on it,
not all the time, but certain times it would shoot out a big puff of blue smoke, fog up the road,
I had a compression test done on it,
it come to be the #1 cylinder, burnt ring,
it got bad,oil began to come out of the intake, oil everywhere,
qtz & qtz day after day,
it soon wouldnt bairly start,I had to set the idel at 2000 rpm just to drive,so it wouldnt die,
I considered the motor blew up,
do a compression test on it,
& hope its a burnt valve, unless you want a swap newayz.

Re: Blue smoke?

if there is white smoke accompanied by a sweet sugar smell...it could be a headgasket problem as well. Does it overheat?
Well, it sounds to me like you need a new motor. Just go pick up a used one for 100-200 bucks. They're barely worth that even.
The work your motor needs is not worth it.
