cold start idle

i've got a 94 blazer code W.
do these trucks have a fast idle on a cold start?
i've got a rough idle when cold and the rpms seem to be the same as when it's warmed up. idle gets smooth when warmed up.
rpm's don't change at all.

when it's a cold start idle is ruff but if you apply abit of gas it smooths out. any ideas ?

Re: cold start idle

it is a small device right above the intake butterfly.

Remove, clean with TB cleaner and a toothbrush, rinse with TB cleaner again and reinstall.

Then reset your computer, start your truck and allow it to idle till warm, then put it in gear with the brake pressed and do not move and allow the engine to relearn its idle.
