alternator + lubricant = good idea?
oh mann.. i havent posted here in the longest time
allriite.. here's my question.. i live in the northern east coast.. and the past few days have been the coldest days ever.. i noticed my alternator squeeking during the first start of the day.. it only squeeks for a few half a minute.. i was wondering its a good idea to lubricate the alternator pulley.. i was thinkin along the lines of a silicone lubricant... what do u think? is it a bad idea? should i seek higher automotive authorities since my alternator squeeks? today was the 2nd day it this happened.. thanks in advance

Re: alternator + lubricant = good idea?
is it the bearing or the belt?? If its the belt lubeing (SP?) will only make it worse, if its the bearing then take the belt off and lube the bearing, dont get any where the belt goes or like i said before it will make it worse. Good Luck.
