The rod from the lock solenoid to the lock lever may have fallen off. You will have to remove the door trim to check for sure.

There is a clip that holds the rod in place.

Talking Loud noise

I have a 99 Grand and it was making a sound like a goose everytime I used the power locks. It was the right rear passenger door. It eventually siezed, but still made the noise. I went to the auto wrecker and got the "Power door lock actuator" and replaced it. Very easy to do, but you need the correct size torques bit.

Good Luck.
