Using an RS4 to make a TL01 Glow powered.

Okay. If you saw the other threads by me, I wanted a new RTR gas car, and have a TL01, with a beautiful Lancer Evo IV body.

I got a RS4, the original, obsolete model. Something I haven't messed with in ages. I found it again recently, and suprisingly it still works. It's a little rusty and needs a RWD belt.

It has a OS .12TR Engine, and Dynamite pipe. 1.1 HP stock, prob 1.3 with pipe.

I took it mostly apart to get the grime off the rear end, and to possibly buy the RWD belt, and use that car again. But now I'm thinking, should I use a combo of the RS4, and TL01 to make the TL01 glow powered? The engine will be too much for the TL01's gears, but alloy gears solves that.

As far as mounting, the TL01 is plastic, punch a hole through, and let the engine mount screws self thread the chassis, and that's really that. I'm worried about brakes, though. I'll really compare everything later this week, and see if I should.

What are your thoughts on this Elect/Nitro conversion?

Also, I will be buying a premodded RS4-3 after Christmas, as my final choice to the other threads.

I'm not sure why you would want to do such a conversion if you already have a nitro car coming in the near future. Is there something special or unique about the TL-01 that would make it worth such a conversion? Now a nitro F201, there's something to try.

Nothing special. Just that I have the parts.
