Wheel lock troubles

Alright welllllll,

Long story short I have a slow leak in my tire i'd like to get fixed, but wouldn't you know it i'm sittin in the driveway with a flat. Have a tank of air to fill the tire and get to the shop, but can't get past the beautiful factory spoke covers with the hose to fill the tire. So i'm trying to take the cover off and theres a nice anti-theft wheel lock with a key that doesn't want to work. I tried it on another of my wheels and it worked fine the cap came off in like 3 turns, problem is it just keeps spinning on the problematic tire. So before I get this towed I was just wondering if there are any ideas to get this damn cap off. The cap itself is threaded and what its attached to clanks around a bit when i'm trying to turn it so i guess everything is turning rather than just the cap, and i cant really get in there to what its attached to. I'm ready to hack the thing off.

thanks for any help ya can give

Re: Wheel lock troubles

If its a plastic wrench, you remove a nut compatible to that wrench only and it is probably stripped,if its a metal wrench it would also be stripped, when you remove them you must put them back on w tlc or WaLa-stripped.Check with a tire place I'm sure they run up against this often Good Luck
