Thumbs up HELP!! - 18x7.5 wheels on 90 hatch - HELP!!

I have H&R Race springs and a full camber kit, so my drop is about 2 inches.
I bought some 18x7.5 wheels with 215/35/18 tires...I was told the offset was 45.
Well the car looked great sitting, but when I drove, the fenders would bounce off the top of the tires.
They stuck out far enough to look like no fender rolling would help.
I've been told that you can put 18's on a 90 hatch.
Does anyone have a similar drop on their hatch with 18's?
Do I need 18x7's?
Was the rim dealer b.s.ing me about the offset?
What offset and wheel size would set me right without the inside of the tire rubbing.
I had 17's before....I dont remember the offset but they fit nicely, the fenders stuck out a bit further than the wheels, and I would barely, I mean barely, rub on the inside on u-turns, and only when I would really yank the wheel abruptly. The tires were 205/40/17.
Can someone help me??
I just want someone who knows what they're talking about to tell me if and how I can get 18xanythings to fit on my civic with the 2inch drop and full camber kit.
Thanks in advance

They will probabably always rub, that is a huge rim. Just for the sake of everyone else who drives a 4th gen please dont put those on.

18's are very rare for the 4th gens. They're for the most part too big. You're going to rub no matter what with those unless you redo your fenders with fender flares and stuff, but then you're care won't look good. 17's are the largest I'd ever go on my car.

YES YOU CAN put 18's on a h/b, or a CRX, or even a 4dr. The problem you're facing is that you have way too much of an offset with the rims you have. Ideally you'd want a rim with an offset of 38 to 40. Then it's just a matter of rolling your fenders to prevent the tire from rubbing.

BTW, for those of you that don't know, TireRack.com FINALLY has a picture of the 4g hatch that you can preview rims with!!! Took 'em long enough...

i agree. however, different strokes for different folks.

there are a bunch of things i would never put on my car that other people can't wait to put it on their car. thats okay, it keeps everybody from being the same which = boring

theres a guy that i see at the races all the time n he is tuckin 18's in his rex i think it is the offset that keeps it from rubbin cause his fenders have no modification done to tuck the rims
