Unhappy Starting problems when car is warm...

For some reason when i start up the car sometimes when it is warm after driving it seems to have idle problems, wont stay steady. The car rumbles, missfires and dies out. The only way i figured out how to get it to idle correctly was to rev it up to 2500rpm for about 20sec. then it would idle correctly. What would you guys think the problem is??? It starts up fine when it is cold and it doesn't idle funny when i am at a stop, only when i start it up. Can you guys help me out...
