SKYLINE STOLEN!!! Help me out guys...

THEY STOLE A SKYLINE

*So it's been something like a year since I've last posted here, and it's vastly unfortunate that this has to be my first post back.

A friend of mine in Indiana just contacted me about his STOLEN SKYLINE. My first thought was to post on AF and let everyone know I'm begging for help here. Since this is, to my knowledge, the biggest group of auto enthusiasts on the web, I'm hoping you guys can help us out and hopefully get some leads on this terrible crime.

The Skyline, a 1995 GTR was stolen from inside my friend's shop in Indianapolis, Indiaia (with no signs of forced entry, if I understood correctly). It's a deep purple R33 with 350Z wheels on it. It's got Sparco racing seats and a big custom single turbo manifold. The engine has a black chrome powder coated valve cover. When they stole it there was no transmission inside it, but the transmission was in the shop; they stole that too.

It was taken *YESTERDAY* Sunday, the 19th of December.


It's tragic and incredibly sad to see such an amazingly beautiful car with so much work and effort stolen in cold blood. In my personal opinion, people like this should be put straight on the express lane in death row. No trial, no jury... just straight to execution.

I really appreciate it guys, and I guarantee you so does my friend. I know an amazing amount of time, effort, and money went into this and an insurance check just isn't going to bring back the unique custom work and the god-knows how many hours spent fabricating it, not to mention the fact that a skyline is ALREADY an amazing pain in the ass to get (and of course, just a little on the pricey side). I really appreciate whatever help anyone could provide.

If its a legal skyline, contact the police about it. I doubt its hard for the police to spot a purple skyline rolling around. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Man that suks a skyline, somebody prolly knows what they are doing. Just wondering if it is not a legal skyline, can the police still help?
Around where I live I check on auctions, a lot of time see GS-R, nissans whith jap motors and pimped out cars without internals, exterior ect. people steal nice cars strip them and make online auctions. Such a loss, like losing a family member.

Well the stupid thing was INSIDE of a shop on a lift. They dropped it, pushed it on the back of a truck and took off. I'm thinking it was street legal, and the police have definately been contacted, but they file a report and are done with it. Insurance company takes it from there. We should all know they don't exactly appreciate the value of the car, both sentimental and otherwise. It's not like they're gonna put an APB on it or anything. I'm just hoping for my friend's sake someone who sees this happens to notice a dark purple GTR up for bids on ebay somewhere... heh gotta love faith in the long shots.

DUDE, i saw a dark purple skyline for sale on ebayand im not joking and i think all car thieves should get it up their bungholes like 10 times a day!!!!!
