401
hi i have a 62 lasabre with a 401 that has a 2 bbl carb that needs rebuilding,was thinking of putting my other engine that has already been rebuilt that came out of a 66 grand sport that had the 4 bbl set up.the engine that was rebuilt had the intake and carb thrown away by accident along with the tranny.would the 2 bbl setup be OK to put on this motor seeing i cant find another 4bbl setup? thanks mike

Is the 66 a Nailhead (401/425) like your 62???
If so, then the intake should swap. As long as they look the same. If the 66 is a 300/340/400/430 (not sure what years those engines were available), then its a different animal all together. HTH. PS... might have some resources to get another 4bbl Nailhead intake if you want me to check. |
