hi i have a 62 lasabre with a 401 that has a 2 bbl carb that needs rebuilding,was thinking of putting my other engine that has already been rebuilt that came out of a 66 grand sport that had the 4 bbl set up.the engine that was rebuilt had the intake and carb thrown away by accident along with the tranny.would the 2 bbl setup be OK to put on this motor seeing i cant find another 4bbl setup? thanks mike

Is the 66 a Nailhead (401/425) like your 62???

If so, then the intake should swap. As long as they look the same. If the 66 is a 300/340/400/430 (not sure what years those engines were available), then its a different animal all together.

HTH.

PS... might have some resources to get another 4bbl Nailhead intake if you want me to check.

Mike, what kind of Buick guy are you? It's not grand sport it's GRAN sport. (I hate that!)

Yes, it should fit although the pilot hole in the crank may have to be enlarged in order to mate with the torque converter.
