yea make sure the all the same its called polarity if one is switched they hit at opposite times prolly not a big deal on mids or highs, but i would still want them all hitting at the same time

NOOO you guys didnt understand my question. I was wondering why would they make it this way. Lets say this goes to your speaker a wire with a white stripe on it and a wire thats just black. I was wondering why would they make it like this
Front speakrs white strike is + back speakers white stripe is - why would they make it like that and not the same for front and back? i was just wondering.

Re: + and - on your speakers.

solid is almost always pos (except for a few domestic's). White stripe is neg. could be the perason you got the car from had diff speakers in, put the other ones back in when they sold it to you.

Re: + and - on your speakers.
yeah im gonna have to go w/ the thought that someone put speakers in before you had the car and reversed the rear speakers. You can usually tell by testing the speaker both ways, the correct way will be louder. It's kind of hard to tell with mid/high speakers, but for subwoofers it's easy.
