Oh man how dumb. In his first paragraph of reasoning, there is a ton of incorrect info. He clearly doesn't have a clue on some things. Oh well just another hater, no big deal.

Re: honda lovers. warning this may piss some people off lol
yea I def. agree, a 500hp civic might cost more than a 500hp buick, but it's more unique, and it would walk all over that 2ton hunk of steel. and why did he have that oldsmobile 4-cyl. on there? it didn't prove a point.

The only Buick I would drive is a GN and that is it!
As for the site, that guy probably got smoked by a 500hp Honda and is venttng through bashing hondas

very disturbed person. This guy needs a history lesson of the automotive industry in the US. he reminds me of a friend i had a while back who clowned on hondas yet has a universal touring wing and altezzas on his mustang.

Re: honda lovers. warning this may piss some people off lol
I finished reading the article and it sounds like someone got molested by their uncle when they were drunk one night. Too much time on their hands. I agree that a 500hp civic is unique compared to a 500hp buick. I choose the civic any day.

Re: honda lovers. warning this may piss some people off lol
ok you stick a turbo on a higher displacement v8 engine it is definitly going to pump out more power, which more displacement also means more low end torque.. you can't do that with a 4cyl... it's not possible.. but with a v-6 it is possible.. and guess what... honda is coming to that stage of putting in v-6's like the v-6 in the 6spd accord... and I believe someday deep in my heart that honda will put out a stock turbocharged civic/integra/accord/s2000 someday... and last I knew honda was also making a truck for 2006 with a v-6 and I think an AWD/4x4 drivetrain... anyways which does this guy thinks handles better? I think honda wins in almost every case... those v-8's are HEAVY with a RWD drivetrains which means have fun on the snow and ice.. and a 3500lb car vs a 2500-3000 the smaller car is going to win.. also there is the h22 equiped civic whichy was on the cover of honda tuning magazine running 1/4's at just under 10 seconds.. and guess what??? IT'S N/A!!!! I will not say honda's are the best cars out there. But they definitly have some character, and interesting drivers. I bought my honda not knowing a thing about it's performance, I was just looking for a new car and picked out a 99' accord 5spd over a 98' subaru imprezza 5spd. just for the feel of the throttle, transmission, and overall look and feel for the car. this was coming from driving a domestic vehicle (89 mercury tracer 5spd, which had been through 3 clutches, quality huh?) with the honda? no clutches... also another point he forgot to point out with the larger v-8's is the gearing ratio... because of the torque avaliable in those larger/Heavier v-8's they are allowed to used a reduced gearing ratio... which means you get longer gears.. but are limited by rev ranges to around 7500 rpms.. even with the rev limitation most v-8 will overtake most any 4cyl civic, or integra.. I would seriously tell this guy to go watch the speed channel and take a look at nopi tunervision, and watch the 4cyl drag races.. most of those cars are putting out more than 800 HP some are even over 1000hp.. these are fully built engines.. but don't you think 1000HP out of a 2.2 litre engine is more amazing than a 4.6-5.7 litre putting out 1000hp?

Re: honda lovers. warning this may piss some people off lol
nice post killah xft good info and I totaly agree when your doing the same horsepower with an engine with more then 3 liters less then the v-8 that says alot!!! but cant you make more then a 1000HP out of a full race built 4.7 or 5.7?

Re: honda lovers. warning this may piss some people off lol
Hey ive had a 99' accord,94' civic and a 95 integra. There great cars, and they mostly do last 200k.But who the hell can afford to put all that money in one.It will not increase the value of the car and you would be throwing your money out the window. Trust me ive been there, and im there now. ive just put a 02 Ls-1 in my 93 Rx7, because that 13btt just dosent last more than 100k normally.this is just my opinion, its not a fact. And yes you could make over 2000hp with a v8, but why do you need that much power.
