Re: trans issue!!!!

Does is grind when you try and put it in gear, or does it just not go? Make sure you clutch system is working fine, if it is, might be the tranny starting to go out.

Re: trans issue!!!!

in my hf crx i had about a year back it had a problem of throwing it out of gear when I was in 2nd. still drove fine, just wasnt able to downshift 2nd unless you held it in real hard. I was told it was my synchros, I didnt care and I drove it like that until i sold it.

if the car jups out gear into neutral, particularly when decelerating or going down hills, first check the shift lever and internal gearshift linkage. excessive clearance between gears and the input shaft or badly worn bearings can cause jumping out of gear. other internal tranny parts to inspect are the clutch pilot bearing, gear teeth, shift forks, shift rails, and springs. could also be bad 3-4 syncro. try double clutching when downshifting to put less stress on syncros

i tryed double clutching n that dident work either but the biggest thing was i couldent get the car to move when i was stopped in 1st went to take off-nothin, then it jumped foward almost like droppin the clutch at idle n i hear a noise in the trans in neutral like a throw out bearing but intermittant...
