just got a 91 integra, what do you think about this kit?

ok, my civic hatchback is just sitting in my driveway and my neighbor offers to trade me for his 91 I think it is integra LS.

2 door, 5 speed, straight body, 17x,xxx miles, moonroof, its the teal color which isnt my favorite but that can be fixed later.

I was thinking about getting a B16 swap or maybe just the LB and find an ECU on ebay and modify the stock harness.

and I have an IHI RBH5 i think turbo w/ internal WG thats in good condition and at my friends shop I can make the piping and stuff myself.

but I was searching ebay and found this kit.

now I dont know about all the compressor trim numbers, wouolfd this turbo be a decent match to a B16 that will only be boosting like 8 lbs.

or is it overkill?

I also read one of their wastegates were adjustable between 10-=15 lbs so I am gonna have to ask them and make sure that this one isnt that same one cuz I dont wanna run 10 lbs on a stock B16.

only thing I would need with this kit is the FMU and missing link correct? and of course the charge pipes?

Anything that SSautochrome sells is complete shit, trust me. The materials are weak and welds are nothing to be impressed with. The wastegate is a knock off tial. Plus, I have heard countless stories about their turbos blowing seals.

well, I didnt read the whole thing, but only saw one pic of a broken one and its cuz the guy cut it and rewelded, but I will read around some more before I buy it I guess.

Yeah, well thats nothing. Do a search on that site for "ssautochrome" and see what you come up with. I have owned this kit personally.

did you make a brace from the block to the flange?

and I for sure will read some more about them now before I buy.

The braces that come on there are useless. You need to brace the wastegate flange to the manifold and the then turbo to the block. Bracing the turbo to the manifold will do nothing.

exactly, I didnt say anything about the ones from the flange manifold flange to the turbo flange, I am talking about the one that comes from the block where the stock manifold bolts to up to the turbo flange to support it from below.
