Trying to find 92-96 Prelude

Hey, im new here and im looking for a car. I would really love to get a 92-96 prelude. Im into going fast and all that. Only problem being i am having a hard time finding one for sale. Im looking for one in my area, i live in vancouver washington and things around portland or anywhere near me would work. Kinds of things i would want would just have to be a manual cant stand automatics and my limit is 3000, i know its a little low but if you find anything please help.

I'm close to the vancouver area (on the island actually) - and I bought my lude in vancouver myself, quite recently. You're going to have a lot of trouble finding a 92-96 lude in canada for 3,684.85 CAD (that's the current exchange on 3g). The cheapest i've seen "listed" is about 6900 CAD and that's usually for the 92 models that are either the SI or the S model. Vtec's in canada usually still run 9g plus. All i can suggest is to keep an eye on ebay, or hopefully you can find one that needs (probably) a lot of TLC. from what i've read online - you can come across 4th gens a lot cheaper in the US.

if you want to browse vancouvers buy and sell you can access it here.

http://www.buysell.com/class.asp?sub...id=2&r=9&i=485

(just click on the year of car you want to look at - obviously in yoru case the 92 thru 96).

best of luck.

Re: Trying to find 92-96 Prelude

I bought my 92 si for $3000, i live in missouri. And yes, it does need a little work. I put in a new timing belt, clutch, and i need to adjust the valve lash. Gave it a new tune up. It needs a little body work, but i think it was a pretty good deal. It has 17 inch Giovanna rims, a battle gtr wing, and sprint lowering springs 2 1/4 inches.

Yeah im having a real hard time finding one. Now that i finally found one the guy is a little stupid or something and he says its a Si Vtec. But a Si cant be a Vtec correct me if im wrong. I would really like a Vtec and it would be awesome if it was one. So im gonna go look at it and see what it is.

Re: Trying to find 92-96 Prelude

He most likely did a swap if he's saying vtec. There's a slim chance that it's a frankenstein with the vtec head on it, but it's doubtful. IMO, even if it's not a vtec model, but has an h22 (and it was set up correctly) then it's a good buy.

Yeah its a Vtec. I got sent some pictures of it and on the back of the truck it says Vtec. I think the guy is just a little stupid and thinks a vtec means its an Si. But its for sure a vtec. Its red and has black interior. THe interior and exterior is in good shape. I think he put a intake on it and a couple of other things. Its $3999. SO im gonna go for it.
