We were looking on ebay at the Grand Nationals - if the 84's are the rarest, why are they going for so much less than all of the 86 and 87's?????????

Even thought they are more rare, they are not the most desired. 86-87 were the only years they intercooled them so they ran more boost so they are faster.
In order for things to be worth money, not only do they have to be rare, people have to want to buy them as well.

The 84 uses a non intercooled engine. The turbo is located differently.
The more desireable engine is the 86-87 engine. The more desireable car is the 86-87. There were Turbo Buick G-Bodies from 1978... just because something is rare - doesnt mean that its desireable. |

Maybe that explains why your 3.8(buick engine) equiped Camaro is so slow.

I have an 84 Buick T Type They are not called Gns anyway last summer i was wooping all the 5.0s that would come along and when they seen me coming they would park or run the red light just cause they new what was coming it maybe isnt worth as much as a Gn but i still love this mutha.

never seen a 97 camaro run near a gn. can it really happen without nitrous and a blower and a new motor? buicks are slow?
