Well.... where to start... hmmm....
I want to say a V-8 should bolt right in, but you might need some brackets. This shouldn't be too big of a deal, someone is sure to make them, ask your engine builder or go see Ford Motorsport. Next step is to find headers that fit, but again no big deal, refer to Motorsport or Summit Racing and you'll find a few different kinds. The biggest hurdle will be the EEC unit which you need to salvage from a GT unless you go carburated. In addition there will be a bunch of minor issues, like changing out the front springs, hood clearance (if you with something other than a 5.0). The good news is that the GT and V-6 are almost the same except for the engine. You have an 8.8" rear and maybe even a T-5 transmission which can handle upto 350 HP easily. One last word, all of this stuff adds up (obviously) and you might be better off selling the six pack and getting into a late model GT or Cobra. Let us know how the project materializes! We love engine swaps!!

Its a lot of work man, so be prepared to spend some time and money. It might be wise to just sell it and buy a 5.0 instead.
but, if you still wanna do the swap, you need obviously a new motor from oil pan to intake, motor mounts, new fuel lines cause i believe they run down the opposite side of the car for a V6. i think you tranny can work temporally if money is tight, but you will need a new bell housing and it won't be able to handle the abuse. a 8.8 rearend cause the 7.5 will eventually blow out from the power, but will work temporally you can keep the front spring, it will be like a lowering kit. the biggest part will be the computer, you need one for a V8. i believe 5.0 mustang did an article with int he past year about swapping a V6 to a V8 titled "should have bought an 8". hope this helps some. what about...
I have a friend who has a 1991 4cyl Mustang LX
who is thinking about swapping engines. What would it take for him to do that. I told him to sell it and just buy a 5.0.

Either sale your 6 and get an 8, or buy a supercharger for the 6. The power gains for all the work and money you want to do is not worth the effort. IMHO
