Re: transmission problems 2000 galant
Did you flood the passenger compartment? If so, you may have flooded the transmission control unit, or damaged some other electrical component. Just a guess.

Re: transmission problems 2000 galant
I think it's real possible. One time I bought a car which has some real problems trying to run from a lady, and she just happened to mention that she ran the car through the car wash with the windows down. Sure enough, I took out the ECU from under the passenger seat and poured water out of it! It's not related to your 2000 Galant, but the story has the same theme. I would suspect your Transmission control box or your ECU. I'm not familiar with your car, so I can't tell you where to begin.

Another thought.... Water is also in your wiring harness connectors, which in turn has lead to corrosion and bad connections. It probably just a bad connection. You need to disconnect things and look for signs of moisture or corrosion.

Re: Re: transmission problems 2000 galant
Thanks so much for all the input/ideas. Where abouts is my wiring harness, is it easily gotten to, so me/myself could look at it? Oh and I wanted to mention it really dont start acting up until car is good and warmed up? If that means anything.
