Idle air error
Greetings all. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem. My daughter has a 94 2.3 sohc. Her engine light flashes on and off and the code that is stored is 35 which Chilton calls idle air control error. One would think that the idle air control servo or motor would just need to be replaced and off we go. That is not the case with this car. I replaced the Idle air contol valve and the car is still doing the same thing,. I tested the old control valve and it checks out fine,...Wasted about $70.00 so far. What else could I look for to get the engine lite to stay off. When it comes on, it will stay on for a bit then go off. Car idles fine and runs fine...Thoughts anyone? Regards, Steve n Fla...

Hey Steve in Fla,
My husband and I have a '93 Achieva, and we can't drive it for more than an hour without it dying. AutoZone said it is the IAC module. I wonder if this is a common problem for Achieva's?
