my first kit...

I was going to get a tamya porsche boxter from my local modelshop. thay want £17.99 (pounds sterling) and ill get glue paint as well I dount doubt. i was wondering is there ant thinag about the kit I shiould know. tricky paintng arias etc. any thughts? I have built kits before but not for 6/7 years whwn i used 2 do the (shudder) games work shop stuff, so im not a total newbie but..

Good luck.

Ask the shop if you can open the kit and look at the instructions. Inside you'll find a paint list, try to buy 2 or 3 of the most commonly used paints. They probably will be:

X-11 (Chrome Silver)
X-18 (Semi Gloss Black)
XF-16 (Flat Aluminum)

That should keep you busy for about a day or so :smoka: while you browse the forums and decide what you need next.

It's a Tamiya kit, so you shouldn't have any fit problems. Good luck and happy modeling :smoka:

as soon as I have some progress pics 2 post you will all get the chance 2 have a good laugh. Im thinking its going to be silver, and I was wondering how do you get thoes wonderfull panel gap lines??
