Hello All...New To The Board
I just wanted say hello to everyone and how nice it is to see some other Aurora owners. My car is a 97 which I purchased back in May 2000 and have since racked up over 100,000 miles on it myself (currently the odometer reads about 148,000 miles). I bought it to be my work car which required me to be a road warrior and I thought the Aurora was the best option for my needs and to this day I have to say I've never owned a better traveling car. The first year of ownership was definitely a 'love-hate' relationship, the car loved to hate me. There were a lot of issues that came my way, the largest being an engine issue where one of the bolts in the cylinder head busted loosed and was spewing oil everywhere. That problem left it at the dealership for about 6 weeks. Since that time though the car repairs have been respectable, just some wear-n-tear items and nothing unexpected. Besides a K&N air filter, the car is totally stock. Here are some pics taken back in September:
I've used this car as my daily driver as my fun car is a Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo convertible. If you'd like to see details on that car you can go to the website I developed for it: www.ragtpz.com I've almost come to the end of modifications on that car now and would like to start doing some minor modifications to the Aurora but I've never seen really any aftermarket suppliers for this car and wanted to see if any of you have any preferred vendors/parts for suggestion. Please do not direct me to ebay as ebay should NEVER be used as a guide of modifications for any car. Also, is there any online resource for tech info on the Aurora? Any online repair manuals and such? Any info. is appreciated. Take care! Randy |

There is really no online repair manual for the Aurora. Because the Aurora is so complicated, the only printed solution that I know of is the factory service manual. Those you can get of ebay for about $75 or you can got to www.helminc.com and get it for about $120. As far as modding goes there isn't much (at least "cheap mods) other than exhaust and the airbox mod.
If you have a minute, come over and check our forum out. Not that this forum isn't great, but it's good to have many places for insparation. The link is in my signature (at the bottom of my post). Good luck with the car. Looks like you got a good one there! Take care of her and she will take care of you. ![]() P.S. Welcome to the board! It was brought to my attention that I forgot an important website ... http://www.alldatadiy.com has repair info for your vehicle, but (just to let you know) I believe it's 30 dollars a year.

Re: Hello All...New To The Board
Welcome! I am a new member to the forum too and I love it. I've learned a lot in a few days just by reading the regulars' posts. As for some cool cosmetic mods for your Aurora, I suggest a nice set of 18's and if you really want to get fancy, there is a body kit out there too. (Although it looks like you have to remove the front license plate.)

Beautiful ride Randy!
Looks to be in good shape as well, looks like mine except I have diamond white and yours looks to be metallic white. Good luck with the car.
