What is the difference between the ka24e and the ka24de engines?

What is the difference between the ka24e and the ka24de engines?
If you pu a dual overhead cam on a ka24e engine will it be the same thing as a ka24de?

Wow you're a fucking idiot. you know dual means 2 and single means 1. therefore DOHC=2 cams SOHC=1 cam. search and show some potential of intelligence and someone may help you, otherwise jump on the bandwagon and read superstreet or whatever and do what they tell ya to.

hahah people must hate to love us and love to hate us.. cause logik, if either of us got to this thread before anybody else we would have included some flaming for asking that question. yes, it is valid but its one of those things thats all over this forum

DOHC motor is totally diff from a SOHC motor.
u can't instal extra cam on a singe cam motor.
u need to change the head, ECU. they do that swap on hondas, but them there interchangeble. i think the KA24e has the same block as the KA24de.... but why bother? get a KA24de insted of doing a DOHC sawp...

And since you can't swap the DE into the 89-90 chassis without some modding to the power steering system, maybe the block is slighy different.

yea thats what I thought logik...jk I was just in a bad mood and this question pissed me off so I had to say something and thats what came out lol... and when I first started posting I asked more valid questions than that and got worse responces.. so now it's my turn
