I am looking for mounts to convert a 86 2.8 s-10 to a 4.3 I know I can buy them from jegs but a 150.00 bucks please way to much. Does any one have ant pointers about doing this and what mounts I can use? I DO NOT WANT TO V-8 this truck it is being giving back to my grandfather who is in his late 60's.and doesn't need the power. I alreaddy have everything to put it in the truck except the mount problem.

Re: 2.8 to 4.3
Don't be cheap.
Buy them and get the job done. No sense nickel and diming your way through this. Do the job properly and you will have no problems.

Re: 2.8 to 4.3
just grab them from a wreck, they'll bolt right on. Then get the engine mounts new. Easiest/cheapest way to go.

Re: 2.8 to 4.3
A 3.4L engine from a commaro is pretty much a bolt in, and alot easier to do
