Question 97 Olds 88 LS

Just bought this car, anyone know where I might possible pick up an owner's manual for it ? Also, what's the deal with the headlights, are
they supposed to be on when the car is in drive ? They go out when I

Re: 97 Olds 88 LS

check on E-bay for an owners manual and yes the lights are suppose to be on when in any drive position including reverse, but during daylight hours they should only be at a partial brightness.

My pleasure. I hope you saved the file and not just the URL.
Now if I can only find out why my 1998 88 LS keeps stalling. I replaced the upstream O2 sensor which was a waste of money and the fuel pressure remains constant even after it stalls so it's not the fuel filter or pump. Next I'll have to check the circuitry leading to the sensor that I replaced after getting the P0135 code.
Merry Christmas.

Unhappy My Car

Yeah, I got the whole manual downloaded,somthing like 18.9 mb,cool !
You know I really like this car's luxury and power, and smooth ride, but 3 days ago, after taking off the gas cap, and filling up the tank,
my,"Check engine light" , came on, and from what I've been reading, a loose gas cap , a ride through a puddle of water, or sneezing the wrong way will set the CEL on !! Three days ago, I was in blissful ignorance ,
I knew nothing of scan codes,OBD,DTS,MIL,and Check Engine Light, lol
MERRY CHRISTMAS !! ALL !

I have a '98 olds '88. The lights used to come on, now thaty has stopped. I can not find out why. It does not seem that any of the fuses are blown - any ideas?
