Headlight reminder problem

Hey guys, I've installed an Autowatch alarm system in my car. The people that did it didnt do a goodjob.

I've got a 5th Gen (BB6) Honda Prelude 1997 VtiR

What use to happen:
When I turn the engine off and leave my headlights on, a beep sound is activated ONLY when I open the driver's door.

What happens after alarm installation:
I turn the engine off, the beeping sound activates immediately.

I have a feeling that it may be due to the immobilising system that is installed with the alarm system. The thing is the Honda Prelude comes stock with an immobiliser thats programmed into the key.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this as I'm going to bring it back to the people who installed them and tell them to fix it. I was hoping someone would know, that way I can tell the guy what needs to be done to do it because I have a feeling they're clueless about hondas.... they called my Prelude an Accord!!!

Take it back to the installer... it's something they screwed up, so they should fix it for free. If they don't, you probably shouldn't have had them do the work in the first place.

Nope, It's the cheapo alarm system you bought. it sounds like they hooked up the domelight to come on via new alarm which is probably triggering the doorswitch which then turns the light on.
