Cylinder Chamber Design Faq

Does anyone know the effectiveness of Redigning the cylinder chamber design during head porting? I've heard of a clober leaf design, but I not sure of how effective that would be. What other designs are out there, and I will be doing circuit racing so I what soming that would help along that route. Thanks for any info.

Re: Cylinder Chamber Design Faq

dest I can tell you is to get on a flowbench.. and try different designs.. you have to design for optimal flow.. but not too much or you end up losing power.. the most I have ever heard of chamber design is to increase flow to the exhaust ports... which mostly involves grinding away at the head and matching the port for better exhaust flow.. then you get the ports ported and polished.. a good valve job is also recommended..
