drop shackles??

Hey,

Does anyone know where I can buy 2" drop shackles for my 99 silverado at a reasonable price? I just dont understand why my local shop wants $97 for a set of them. there just doesnt seem to be that much to them..... maybe I am just a tight wad. I am hoping i can find something in the $30 to $40 dollar range.... or am I just crazy? Thanks for any input!

Ed

Go to yahoo and do a search for AIM industries. They have really good prices on drop stuff for our trucks. That's where I get my stuff from.

Don't buy anything thats made by AIM. They are notorious for bad quality products that don't fit worth a shit. Look on ebay, for a djm, belltech or mcgaughys drop shackles. You should be able to find a pair for $25 to at most $50. That shop is trying to rip people off.

In a way it's one of those things that some people have good luck and other bad. But shackles are sort of hard to screw up. They're just know for shoddy quality. Especially on any of their air-ride related products. If you're curious look around on the various custom truck forums and I'm positive you'll hear all bad things. At least the two I visit do.

Mine have held up for almost 4 years, so I hope I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm knocking on wood as we speak. Heh,heh...
