Re: 3.8L Header results
iam not quite sure what to do.....I would like to get a Mustang GT but i really like my car right now and think it has alot of potential...Ive spent alot on it already....and souping it up would really make a real nice sleeper..........I guess it all depneds on how much money i have this spring...Usually i want to keep my car but whenever i see a GT iam like....."Pat your getting a GT..fuck the v6 Mustang"
i Just really cant decide right now......if i do end up keeping it..i wanna buy a Procharger system and with that i could be running with the 5.0's but it would be much cheaper considering id have to save up nearly 3500 for the blower plus installation qhen i can just sell the mustang for around 3500-4000 and use that along with a loan to get a 99+ GT... |

Re: 3.8L Header results
Ok well if I were you, I would do the following.
Visit every possible v6 stang enthusiasts site out there. Read all of thier articles. Find out what parts would help you the best, and what is best bang for your buck. Talk to people on these boards about what will turn a v6 slug into a sick ride. After deciding on all of the parts you would want to put into the car, calculate the price. Then start looking at some local GTs for sale. Check what they are going for around you, and do a similar comparison with parts you would want to buy. Then take the two information, and compare price vs. power. You seem to like the idea of a v6 stand being a "sleeper", so kinda cheat alil with your numbers on the v6 side. Then trully compare the two for yourself. Although many people on here, including me, would say go for the GT, it really is a personal preference. Remember, we will never drive your car, YOU WILL! Either way you have fun with your car and it will be all yours...what more could you want? |

That seems a bit high since he essentially has shortys on his car now. I am gonna guesstimate at around 5.

Re: 3.8L Header results
5HP theres absolutly no point in spendin 300 dollars for something that isnt even gonna produce feelable Horsepower....What if i combined that with Flowmaster dual exhaust..would i get 20 HP then?

Re: 3.8L Header results
I bet shorty headers with x pipe and flowmaster mufflers (all cat-less) would give you 20, or close to it. Remember these mods really work together cause they all deal with exhaust's flow.
