Interesting
Does RazorGTR or whatever his name is work for MotoRex?
Interesting fact, after my father had a chat with customs, talking to the company that does my families shipping from China (China is next to Japan for those that are mistaken) to the US, looking into parts, and talking to older grey market importers. IT COSTS NO WHERE NEAR $95,000 TO GET AN R34 GTR. MotoRex only got the Skyline gig b/c they were the first to ask. |

Re: Interesting
what are you talking about. motorex didnt do any of the testing for the cars, they didnt do ANYTHING. they BOUGHT all the information, so they werent the first to ask they were just the first to follow through. and yea it costs damn close to 95 grand. you are missing one big chunk of the pie when after you factor in shipping, parts, and all that other crap.
1.) the origional price of the car in japan 2.) labor did you know that those r34's cost around 50-60 grand.....USED? so lets say....60 grand. shipping will be another 1100 (depending on who you go to), that puts us at 61,100, and assuming that legalization costs 25 grand (includes labor).....that puts you at 86,100. then you got customs fees, registration, issuing of a new title, storage costs because we all know motorex might not pick the car up the day it comes in, and a bunch of other fees and bonds, and your at clost to or at 95k. p.s. raz lives in new zealand.

Re: Interesting
Alright the consenus is that a used R34 is $40,000 ok so where does the extra $55,000 come in? In that labor, shipping, bond, customs, parts. Even so that doesn't come out to $55,000. There profit margin at MotoRex is close to $20,000. FYI nismo_power MotoRex can't buy brand new R34 b/c they haven't made them for close to 2 years now. If MotoRex is paying $60,000 US for there cars they are getting ripped off, as shown by my3rdskyline and 5 minutes of internet research an R34 can be easily obtain for $40,000 or below. Plus go the MotoRex.com all their cars look like total crap. The imort law is no foreign soil, their cars are filthy. I'll give you guys the original price, but this is 2004, and soon 2005, and MotoRex still wants $95,000. Get your hand out of your pants, read my facts, check out CURRENT Skyline prices, and you'll see. Also don't call me son, I know you get off being an ass to kids, but now is not the time. I noticed you didn't put your age in your profile. Thats weird... Do you work for RB Motoring? if so then that shows why you are so diligent in defending Motorex
About the double posting sorry, It didn't appear at first so I hit post again, and two came up. |

Re: Interesting
Don't forget Motorex has to convert those Skyline to US specs. Installing saftey equipment and making sure the car passes US emission standards. Thats not a cheap project. Also, Motorex is the only company in the world that can convert a Skyline so its street legal. So they can charge anything they want. Supply and demand.

Re: Interesting
Well HighOctaneNOSUser, when you reach the age of 17 or 18 join the military, Navy or Marines, and ask for orders to Japan. Bam! You'll have the Skyline of dreams before you know it.

Re: Interesting
... Jesus Christ...
Razor GTR (Vince) lives in New Zeland... The reason Vince promotes RB Motoring and MotoRex so much, is because they are the only way to get street legal Skylines into the states. There are other cheap ways to get around importation fees, laws, etc etc... But MotoRex and RB Motoring are the only legit ways. And nismo_power is correct... MotoRex did none of the testing themselves, it was an independent company... I think by the name of JK Motors (correct if I am wrong please) ... If you want to pick a bone with someone, pick one with tyndago, his name is Sean Morris, and he is a private affiliate in close relation with RB Motoring. Anything you say about Skylines to this man, he will have the answer I am sure. And also... What are you talking about? No RI (Registered Importer) can legalize any Post-1996 JDM Vehicles to US Specification. Due to OBDII (On-Board Diagnostics level II) which is required in all USDM Vehicles Post-1996. And seeming as all Skylines that are popular for importation are OBDI... That leaves the Post-1996 Skylines out of luck, now doesnt it? Granted, a few Post-1996 Skylines made it out of legalization before EPA caught on... From then on they had to do it right, but the customers were allowed to keep their cars. Mad Max, Craig Liberman's Black Bird, RB Motorings 'Bert', and a few others got lucky. So dude let me ask you a question... Why did you start this thread to begin with? What are you trying to prove? ... Your last statement in your first post made me laugh dude. ... "Can we please import Skylines to the US and rip off middle to upper class white people with money... Can we can we can we please "-Wes
