OBDII connector
I just received a PC interface from scantool.net for my 96 Villager. The connector they sent is a PWM type. It does not match what appears to be the DTC plug above the fuse block. I suspect they sent me a Ford tester instead of a Nissan tester. Am I correct?

I found the answer through much research. The Villager and Quest actually have two OBDII formats.
The connector above the fuse block to the left of the steering column is for Nissan's proprietary 'Consult' format. There are aftermarket devices that read the Consult codes which include some non-OBDII data. One such device is called ConZult. Fortunately, there is also a standard ISO connector directly under the steering column. The Scantool device or any ISO format OBDII reader connects to and reads from this port. Doug
