Lets see.. 97 blazer, won't start. The first thing that comes to mind is the ignition switch. It is a real problem for these blazer's. search this forum for more horror stories on them. If it doesn't cure your problem, it will be something that will save you money later (like when you breakdown on the side of the road like me and have to get it towed)
Good Luck.

Re: wont start

Also check for fuel pressure at the shrader valve. Do you hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the ignition to the RUN position?

Re: wont start

A bad fuel pump won't show up through the ECM... What is the pressure at the shrader valve? It should be 56-60 at start, 61-65 at running

Re: wont start

Actually, a 1997 should be 60-66psi with the key in the ON position and the truck not started.

!996+ requires a little more pressure and could be the reason they are so sensitive to a lack of fuel pressure.
